Launch of the “I belong in the workforce” campaign
To mark Disability Employment Awareness Month (October 1 to 31), the Société québécoise de la déficience intellectuelle (SQDI) is launching its brand new campaign, “I belong in the workplace.”
This campaign will take place in three stages throughout autumn and until December. It will focus on three areas: exposing exploitation, informing and raising public awareness, and promoting good inclusive hiring practices.
Its central message is strong: no one should work without being paid.
The jaimaplace.ca website now features a new tab dedicated to employment issues and solutions. Stay tuned… it will be updated regularly with a variety of content related to the campaign.
